The app

Dictation Indicator for Mac collects nothing. Specifically:

• No audio. It never records or listens to the microphone. It only checks which apps are using the microphone, which is why macOS never asks it for microphone access.
• No network requests. The app does not connect to the internet. Nothing leaves your Mac.
• No account. There is nothing to sign up for.
• No analytics or tracking. No usage data, crash reports or identifiers are collected.

Your Settings, such as border color and which apps trigger it, are stored only on your Mac.

This website

dictationindicator.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts, and it loads nothing from third parties. Like any website, the server that hosts it may keep standard technical request logs, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to operate and secure the site. We do not use them to identify or track you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
